How to connect your Invoca and MNTN accounts to share conversation insights for streaming TV ad measurement and optimization.
Overview
MNTN is a platform for streaming TV advertising. Connecting Invoca and MNTN lets you share conversation insights as events, giving you a more complete view of how your streaming TV ads perform.
This guide covers three steps: gathering your MNTN API key, setting up the integration and its actions in Invoca, and updating your Invoca Tag to capture the attribution data MNTN needs.
Step 1: Get your MNTN API key
Before configuring the integration in Invoca, generate an API key from the Integrations page in the MNTN platform when you connect the Audience integration.
Step 2: Set up the integration in Invoca
- In the Invoca sidebar menu, click Integrations and select Manage Integrations.
- Click the MNTN tile. If the tile says “Learn More” instead of letting you configure it, contact your Customer Success Manager or Account Manager to enable access.
- Enter a friendly name to identify your MNTN account setup.
- Enter your MNTN API Key.
Create an Action
An Action determines which call transactions or Signals get reported to MNTN. Create one Action for each event type you want to track:
- Choose your Action Type:
- Send Events (with IP Address) sends conversation insights with both a hashed phone number and IP address, for more complete attribution. Use this option only when approved by your legal team.
- Send Events (without IP Address) sends conversation insights using only the hashed phone number.
- Enter a friendly name for the Action (for example, “MNTN Call Tracking”).
- Use the Triggered By drop-down to choose All Calls or a specific Signal.
- Configure the Event Name — a free-form name of 128 printable ASCII characters or fewer. This value is forwarded to MNTN as-is; if you’re in a regulated industry such as healthcare, make sure this field doesn’t contain protected health information.
- Click Save.
If you selected Send Events (with IP Address), your Invoca Tag must be configured to capture IP addresses:
- Select the gear icon in the menu and click Invoca Tags, then select the tag deployed on your website.
- Go to the Revision History tab and create a New Draft.
- Find the Capture IP Address toggle and switch it on. IP address is considered personal information — check your internal compliance and privacy policies before enabling this.
- Test your changes, then click Save & Go Live.
Confirm events are reaching MNTN
- Go to Integrations > Manage Integrations.
- Click the MNTN tile, then click your Action.
- Review the Delivery Details chart. Green bars indicate successful deliveries; red bars indicate errors. Expand the Delivery History to view API responses for troubleshooting.
What data does Invoca send to MNTN?
- Identifiers: SHA256-hashed phone number, and IP address (if configured).
- Contextual data: Event ID (Call ID), your custom Event Name, and a Unix timestamp.
- Financial value: Revenue amount and currency code.
Once these three steps are complete, your Invoca-MNTN integration is active and reporting conversation events for your streaming TV campaigns.Last modified on September 30, 2026
