Configure Destinations so calls route correctly across a network with more than one campaign per tag.
Prerequisites
- Destinations enabled on your network
- Two or more campaigns you want calls to route between
- At least one existing tag
Overview
Destinations lets you route calls dynamically to more than one campaign from a single tag. This is useful when your network has multiple campaigns that should each receive calls under different conditions, rather than sending every call to a single campaign. Setting this up involves configuring Destinations on each relevant campaign, choosing a default campaign, and mapping specific destination numbers to the campaigns they should route to.
For each campaign that will use Destinations:
- Navigate to the campaign and click the Destinations tab.
- Click Settings.
- Configure the Destinations settings as needed for that campaign.
- Click Create to save.
Step 2: Identify your default campaign
Choose the campaign with the most destination numbers to serve as your default campaign. This is the campaign that receives calls when no other routing rule applies.
Step 3: Set the default campaign in your tag
Set the campaign you identified in Step 2 as the default campaign within your tag configuration.
Step 4: Map additional destination numbers to their campaigns
- Identify the destination numbers that should route to campaigns other than your default.
- Add those numbers to the Replace Specific Numbers interface, and associate each one with the appropriate campaign.
Step 5: Save and test
Save your tag as a draft, then place test calls to each mapped destination number to confirm calls route to the correct campaign before publishing the tag live.Last modified on September 30, 2026
