A reference guide to how data moves between Invoca and Salesforce, and how Invoca Call Log records are matched to your standard objects.Invoca for Salesforce Sales Cloud is a bi-directional integration — data can flow from Invoca to Salesforce, and from Salesforce back to Invoca.
Object relationship
The integration involves Contacts, Leads, Opportunities, Accounts/Person Accounts, Cases, and a custom object called the Invoca Call Log. Invoca adds call data to an Invoca Call Log record, which can tie to an existing Contact, Lead, Account/Person Account, Case, or Opportunity. If tied to a Lead, the Call Log follows that Lead when it converts to an Account and Opportunity — enabling closed-loop conversion reporting as the Opportunity progresses through key stages, which can be reported back to Invoca as Signals.Matching logic
By default, the package uses the Caller ID Invoca captured and searches all Phone fields on the objects selected for matching. If multiple records of the same object match, the Call Log links to the most recently modified one. The Invoca Admin settings let you customize this logic using custom fields instead — for example, matching a user ID captured via a website cookie to a corresponding field on the Contact record. Custom fields take precedence over phone-type fields, and you can choose whether to fall back to the default Caller ID + Phone match if no custom match is found. Only one alternative field match is allowed per object.Data shared: Invoca to Salesforce
To see what data is available to send to the Invoca Call Log, log in to Invoca, click Reports, then Transactions, then Edit Columns — nearly every field in that list can be sent to Salesforce. Field names are generalized in the Invoca Call Log to standardize the integration across accounts, since Marketing Data fields, Signals, and RingPool parameters differ by account. For example, if your first Marketing Data field is “Google Click ID,” it appears in Salesforce as “Customer String Name 0” (holding the field name) and “Customer String Value 0” (holding the value). To see the slot ID assigned to each Marketing Data field, click the gear icon in Invoca, select Marketing Data, then Edit Columns to add the Slot ID column — or download the Field Configuration export.Data shared: Salesforce to Invoca
When reporting a Lead conversion or Opportunity Stage back to Invoca as a Signal (app version 4.0+), you can also pass Salesforce fields to Invoca Marketing Data fields — for example, mapping a Lead’s Product Interest field to a Marketing Data field you can view in Invoca reports. The Marketing Data field must already exist in Invoca before you configure this mapping in the Invoca Admin tab. For Opportunity Stages, fields from the Account or Opportunity can be mapped the same way.NoteA Lead must convert, and an Opportunity must progress to a selected stage, within 18 months of the original call start time for the conversion to report back to Invoca.
