Walk through where the mapping breaks down between the Invoca Call Log and the corresponding Salesforce field.Applies to: Salesforce Sales Cloud
Objective
Understand why Invoca data isn’t mapping to a field on the Lead, Account, Contact, Opportunity, or Case.Steps
- Request a custom Invoca Call Log ID in Salesforce for the record where the mapping isn’t working correctly.
- In Invoca, verify whether a value is being captured for the corresponding field, and note the captured value.
- In Invoca, verify whether data is being sent upon call start or at call end, and note which option is selected.
- In Salesforce, review the custom Invoca Call Log ID to confirm whether Invoca successfully passed the captured value to the Salesforce field.
- If the Invoca Call Log contains a value, check your Invoca Admin settings to confirm the field is configured to map to the corresponding field on the Lead:
- If the Invoca Salesforce field name wasn’t selected, the field on the Lead will be blank as expected.
- If the field name was selected but the integration sends data upon call start, fields only available once the call ends — like duration — won’t automatically map, so it’s expected they’ll be blank on the Lead.
