Attach Invoca call data to Salesforce lead records by matching the correct Customer String or Business Object field in your Salesforce Matching Logic settings.
Before you begin: You need access to your Salesforce webhook’s delivery data (through the webhook’s Deliveries page or a Kibana search) and permission to edit Matching Logic settings in Salesforce.

Overview

Invoca sends call data to Salesforce as either a Business Object or a Customer String, each with an assigned number — for example, customer.string.9 or customer.business.object_2. To have this data populate the correct field on a lead record, Salesforce’s Matching Logic settings need to point to the same object or string number Invoca is using.

Steps

  1. Check which data points are being sent to Salesforce in a delivery. You can find this on the Salesforce webhook’s Deliveries page, or by searching in Kibana.
  2. Note the Business Object or Customer String number assigned to each data point you want to match. For example, Invoca might send the calling page URL as Customer String 10.
  3. In Salesforce, open your Matching Logic settings.
  4. Find the field that corresponds to the data point you noted in step 2 (for example, the “Invoca Calling Page” field), and update its setting to match the same Customer String or Business Object number — in this example, Customer String 10.
  5. Save your changes. The data attaches to lead records going forward.
