Connect Invoca to Adobe Advertising Cloud to see calls and call conversions from your landing pages and Google Call Extension ads alongside the rest of your ad performance data. This guide is part of a series connecting Invoca to Adobe Experience Cloud products. Before you begin: You need access to your Adobe Advertising Cloud account and permission to edit Marketing Data fields and Invoca Tags. Sending data directly to Advertising Cloud also requires help from an Adobe implementation representative.
Choose a connection method
You can connect Adobe Advertising Cloud to Invoca either directly, or indirectly through Adobe Analytics. If you have both Adobe Analytics and Advertising Cloud, connecting indirectly simplifies setup. If you use Google Call Extension ads, have Adobe Advertising Cloud import call extension conversions directly from Google Ads for the highest keyword match rate. Sending Google Call Extension data directly to Invoca instead requires a custom implementation — contact your Invoca account team for details. How call data ties to Advertising Cloud data
For calls placed from a landing page, the Efficient Frontier ID (ef_id) links Invoca call data to Advertising Cloud clicks. The Invoca Tag captures ef_id from the landing page URL and ties it to a dynamic phone number; when a call comes in, ef_id is stored with the call and any Signals.
For calls placed from Google Call Extensions, Invoca captures the Google Ads identifiers for the Campaign, Ad Group, Ad, and Keyword that drove the call, and sends them in a file to an Adobe Advertising Cloud FTP.
Step 1: Capture Adobe Advertising Cloud data in Invoca
Recommended: connect via Adobe Analytics
- Follow the Adobe Analytics installation guide to connect Invoca to Adobe Analytics.
- Connect your Adobe Analytics account to Adobe Advertising Cloud (see Adobe’s documentation).
Alternative: connect directly to Advertising Cloud
- Capture the Adobe Advertising Cloud ID (
ef_id) by creating a custom Marketing Data field:- Partner (API) Name:
ef_id - Friendly Name: Adobe Advertising Cloud ID
- Field Type: Text Field
- Attribution Model: Last
- Partner (API) Name:
- Add the field to your Invoca Tag, choosing URL Param as the Data Source Type.
Step 2: Build a parser with your Adobe implementation team (direct integration only)
- Contact your Adobe implementation team representative and ask them to build a parser to process FTP files from Invoca. Provide the fields you want included, such as:
- Note the FTP credentials for your Advertising Cloud account from your implementation team — you’ll need them in Step 3.
Step 3: Request a new data delivery
If you built a parser in Step 2, request a new Invoca data delivery to Adobe Advertising Cloud. Include:- The data fields you requested from your Adobe implementation team, using the exact field names they configured.
- Your Adobe Advertising Cloud FTP credentials, shared securely (for example, through a one-time secret link, or by phone for the password).
Step 4: Put the integration to use
- Create new conversion columns in Advertising Cloud to incorporate call data, and use them in forecasting and bid unit views.
- If you’re integrated with Adobe Analytics, publish segments to Experience Cloud and use them in Advertising Cloud for improved ad targeting.
- Incorporate call outcomes into your weighted objectives.
