Import or bulk-edit your Destinations (the phone numbers Invoca tracks on your website) from a spreadsheet, instead of adding them one at a time.
Invoca is migrating Dashboards and Reports to the newer Insights & Analytics experience. See Insights & Analytics: Getting Started Guide to check out the new experience.
Prerequisites
- You must not be using Replace any detected numbers in your Invoca Tag Wizard. If it’s enabled, the Destinations import and bulk-edit features won’t be available to you — see Invoca Tag: Access, Deploy, and Go Live to check or change this setting. Note that automatic destination discovery generally relies on this option staying enabled, so disabling it to use bulk import trades away that automatic detection.
- A full, current list of the Destination phone numbers you want to import, exported to a CSV or spreadsheet file if it’s maintained in another system.
Step 1: Download your Destinations import template
- Log in to your Invoca account. In the sidebar menu, click Campaigns, then click your account’s default campaign.
- Click the Destinations tab, then click Import.
- Click Download Template, then check your browser’s downloads to open the template in any spreadsheet program.
Step 2: Fill in your Destinations data
The template workbook has four sheets: Instructions, Active, Discovered, and Ignored. The Instructions sheet explains how to use the template — don’t edit it. In each of the other sheets, add the Destinations that should have that status (for example, add Active Destinations to the “Active” sheet). Each row represents one Destination connected to your business. Fill in these columns for each one:- Name: A label for the Destination that will appear in your Invoca reports (up to 255 characters). If left blank, the phone number displays instead. Used for Active Destinations only.
- Website Phone Number: The Destination’s phone number, formatted as XXX-XXX-XXXX (for example, 800-555-1234).
- URL Found On: The URL where the Destination is hosted. You can leave this blank — it’s auto-filled for Destinations Invoca already detects.
- Max Pool Size: How many Invoca promo numbers to assign to this Destination’s RingPool (a group of trackable phone numbers). Used for Active Destinations only.
- Overflow Enabled: Enter “TRUE” to let Invoca add promo numbers to this Destination’s RingPool automatically as call volume grows, or “FALSE” to keep the pool at a fixed size.
- Search Radius: For local-number RingPools only, a whole number (0 or greater) for how far from the Destination’s location Invoca should search for new local promo numbers.
- Redirect Search to State: For local-number RingPools only, enter “TRUE” to restrict new promo numbers to the Destination’s state, or “FALSE” to allow numbers from other states.
- Allocation Fallback Strategy: For local-number RingPools only, enter “UseTollFree” to fall back to a toll-free number when no local number is available, or “Wait” to wait until one is.
