Call Activity Tracking shows how each call was routed, so you can audit results and troubleshoot unexpected outcomes.
Call Activity Tracking is a feature in your Call Details report that shows a full breakdown of why a call was routed to its eventual destination. Use it to answer questions like:
  • Why did a call go to an unexpected destination?
  • How did the current call treatment settings affect a specific live call?
  • Why isn’t a bundled advertiser receiving as many calls as expected?
A call treatment is the set of routing rules that determines how an incoming call is handled and where it’s ultimately sent. Before you begin: You need access to the Call Details report to view Call Activity data for a call.

Viewing Call Activity for a call

  1. Go to Reports > Calls.
  2. Search or filter for the call you want to review.
  3. Click the magnifying glass icon in the Call Details column for that call.
  4. Click the Call Info tab, then scroll to the Call Activity section.
This section lists every node in the call treatment that handled the call. Expand any node to see how it affected routing. If a routing step didn’t produce the result you expected, you can return to the call treatment and adjust it.
Note: If a call treatment includes a “Check a condition” node, a call that fails that condition shows “disqualified expression” in the results. The Call Details report also displays the specific part of the condition that failed, shown in brackets ({ }).

Enabling or disabling Call Activity tracking

Call Activity tracking is on by default for every campaign. To turn it off:
  1. Edit the call treatment for the campaign.
  2. In the Call Activity Tracking dropdown, select No tracking.
To turn it back on:
  1. Return to the call treatment.
  2. Select Save activity from the Call Activity Tracking dropdown.
