Data can be uploaded to Invoca if it’s tied to individual calls and includes one of Invoca’s accepted unique identifiers.
Applies to
- Customers with data captured in a third-party system that isn’t already in Invoca
- Customers who want to attribute third-party data to calls in Invoca reporting
- Customers using the Invoca file upload feature
Objective
Determine whether marketing data or call conversions stored in a third-party system can be successfully uploaded to your Invoca Calls/Transactions reports.Steps
- Confirm the data you want to upload relates only to calls driven by Invoca.
- Confirm you can export the data as a CSV or Excel file — check your third-party system’s documentation if you need help.
- Confirm the data can be matched to individual calls. Invoca’s Calls and Transactions reports contain records for individual calls, so data aggregated at the campaign level will be difficult to map to specific call records.
- Confirm the data includes one of Invoca’s accepted unique identifiers:
transaction_id— the ID of the specific transaction (call leg) being reported oncall_record_id— the ID of the complete call being reported oncall_start_time— doesn’t need to be exact, since clocks won’t be perfectly synchronized; Invoca matches to the closest record. Pairing this withcalling_phone_numberorduration_in_secondsimproves matching precision.
- If none of these fields are available, talk to your account representative about options for getting that data into a system that can map to call records.
