Quick reference definitions for terms used across Invoca’s documentation, including integrations, SSO/SAML setup, and data compliance features.

A

Adobe Launch / Extension

Invoca’s extension for Adobe Launch that lets you implement the Invoca Tag across your website without custom development. See Adobe Experience Cloud: Integration Overview.

Advanced Redaction

An upgraded redaction tier available as an add-on. Networks that purchase it are exempt from Invoca’s default Standard Redaction rollout. See Transcription Redaction Overview.

AppExchange

Salesforce’s public marketplace where you can install the Invoca for Salesforce Sales Cloud package as a preliminary test of compatibility with your org before full installation. See Salesforce: Integration Overview.

Assertion Consumer Service (ACS) URL

The endpoint your identity provider sends SAML assertions to in order to complete Single Sign-On into Invoca (https://[network].invoca.net/sso/consume). See SAML SSO Setup.

Audience

A list of users built from Invoca call and Signal data in a connected platform, such as Google Analytics or Adobe Audience Manager, then used for targeting or personalization in that platform. See Google Analytics 4 (GA4): Integration Overview.

C

Call Record ID

Invoca’s unique identifier for a call. Call center software can use it to report outcomes and conversions back to Invoca. See SIP Integration Overview.

Closed Loop Reporting

The process of reporting a call’s outcome or conversion from a connected platform, like Salesforce, back to Invoca — so Invoca can share it with other marketing platforms for optimization. See Salesforce: Integration Overview.

D

Default Role

The user role automatically assigned to new users who access Invoca through SAML SSO, unless a different role is specified in their SAML attributes. See SAML SSO Setup.

E

Entity ID

The value that identifies Invoca as the service provider to your identity provider during SAML SSO setup (Invoca_SAML_Service_Provider). See SAML SSO Setup.

F

Filtered Reporting

A user role and permission model that restricts which reporting data a SAML SSO user can view, defined using report_filters. See SAML SSO Setup.

Floodlight Activity

A Google Campaign Manager conversion-tracking tag. Invoca reports phone calls and Signals to Campaign Manager as Floodlight activities. See Google Campaign Manager: Integration Overview.

G

Google Call Extensions

A Google Ads ad format that adds a click-to-call phone number to search ads. Invoca call tracking can be added to these extensions. See Google Ads: Integration Overview.

I

Identity Provider (IdP)

The external system — such as Okta, Microsoft ADFS, or Azure — that authenticates users and passes their login details to Invoca via SAML SSO. See SAML SSO Setup.

L

License Type

Designates which parts of the Invoca platform (marketing, contact_center, or both) a SAML SSO user is licensed to access. See SAML SSO Setup.

N

Name ID

The unique identifier Invoca uses to match a SAML SSO user, formatted as the user’s email address. See SAML SSO Setup.

Network

The top level of the Invoca account hierarchy. Some settings, like Redaction, are defined at the Network level rather than the Profile level. See Transcription Redaction Overview.

O

Offline Conversions API

Google’s API for reporting conversions that happen outside a web browser, such as phone calls, back into Google’s ad platforms. See Google Campaign Manager: Integration Overview.

P

PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard)

A global security standard for protecting credit card data. Invoca is PCI DSS certified, a certification that covers call recordings and transcripts that may contain payment details. See Transcription Redaction Overview.

PII (Personally Identifiable Information)

Personal data — such as date of birth, driver’s license number, SSN, and passport number — that Invoca’s Standard Redaction automatically removes from recordings and transcripts. See Transcription Redaction Overview.

PreSense

An Invoca feature that shares Invoca data with your call center system in real time, using the same request that routes the call over SIP. See SIP Integration Overview.

Profile

An Advertiser- or Affiliate-level account within an Invoca Network. SAML SSO users can be scoped to access specific Profiles. See SAML SSO Setup.

Q

Qualified Call

A phone call that meets criteria you define to count as a marketing conversion. Qualified calls can be sent to platforms like Google Ads. See Google Ads: Integration Overview.

R

Retention Period

The length of time you configure Invoca to store call recordings before automatically deleting them. See Transcription Redaction Overview.

S

SAML SSO (Security Assertion Markup Language Single Sign-On)

A standard that lets your organization’s identity provider handle login to Invoca, removing the need for separate Invoca usernames and passwords. See SAML SSO Setup.

Segment

A group of callers or calls defined by shared Signals or attributes, used in platforms like Adobe Audience Manager for targeting and personalization. See Adobe Experience Cloud: Integration Overview.

SHA-1 Fingerprint

A digest of your identity provider’s certificate, entered in Invoca to verify the authenticity of SAML SSO requests. See SAML SSO Setup.

Signal

An in-call event or outcome that Invoca detects and can share with other marketing and analytics platforms — such as Google Ads, Adobe, and Facebook — for optimization and targeting. See Signals Overview.

Signal AI

Invoca’s AI feature that analyzes call recordings and transcripts to surface actionable Signals. See Transcription Redaction Overview.

Single Logout (SLO)

A SAML SSO feature that logs a user out of Invoca when they log out of their identity provider. See SAML SSO Setup.

SIP (Session Initiation Protocol)

A standard for initiating, maintaining, and terminating multimedia communications. Invoca uses it to connect inbound phone calls directly to your business over the internet, reducing telecom fees. See SIP Integration Overview.

Standard Redaction

Invoca’s default redaction level, which automatically removes PII and PCI data from call recordings and transcripts before they’re stored. See Transcription Redaction Overview.

Super User

The Invoca user role required to configure account-wide settings, such as SAML SSO. See SAML SSO Setup.
