The Invoca Tag connects your landing pages to Invoca’s call intelligence — it swaps in a trackable number, captures Marketing Data, and ties both together when a visitor calls. This article covers your deployment options.
How does Invoca connect your digital marketing landing pages to your phone call intelligence? The first step is adding an Invoca Tag to your landing pages. With that code running on a page, Invoca:
  • Swaps the phone numbers on your landing pages with Invoca promo numbers, serving a different promo number to each concurrent visitor
  • Captures your visitors’ Marketing Data from their browser session
  • Connects the promo number a visitor dialed to their Marketing Data if they place a call

Easy, flexible deployment with the Invoca Tag

The Invoca Tag is the primary way most accounts deploy Invoca on their landing pages. Use the Invoca Tag Wizard to create a Tag, which generates a unique code snippet you deploy into your landing pages. You only need to deploy your Invoca Tag into each landing page once — the initial Tag code continues to work even if you edit your Tag’s settings later, or if the underlying code behind the Tag is upgraded. This is because your Invoca Tag references InvocaJS, along with your own custom settings, each time a visitor accesses the page.

Deploying on Google AMP pages

If you use Invoca on Google AMP landing pages, you can create a special Google AMP code snippet from the Invoca Tag Wizard to paste onto those pages. See Google AMP Integration for a full guide.

Serving the largest enterprises with self-hosted InvocaJS

Some large enterprise accounts have internal audit systems that require all code to run on their own servers. For these accounts, Invoca offers a self-hosted InvocaJS solution as an alternative to the Invoca Tag. This operates similarly to the Invoca Tag and uses the same underlying technology, but needs to be redeployed and version-controlled alongside Invoca releases. If a self-hosted InvocaJS solution sounds right for your business, contact your account team to learn more. See also Can I Self-Host the Invoca Tag Library Locally?

For legacy accounts

Invoca also supports an alternative, legacy code base for deployment called Web Integration Code (WIC). WIC is recommended for very few accounts today — if your organization deploys Invoca using WIC, contact your account team for help supporting and deploying this feature.
