Every aspect of an Invoca chart — color, legends, axes, number format, and more — can be adjusted from the chart configuration panel.To make changes to a chart’s configuration, click the gear icon in the top-right corner of the visualization. This opens the Edit chart panel, which contains the Customize and Settings menus. From here, you can drag and drop Measure and attribute chips onto or off of an axis. Click any Measure or attribute chip with a more icon (
>) to customize it further.
You can also edit some elements directly by clicking on them — for example, clicking a chart axis opens its customization options.
What you can customize
- Configure columns for the X and Y axes: drag and drop Measures and attributes onto the appropriate axis, or move a column to Not Visualized to keep it in the search without showing it in the chart (also used to perform a hidden sort).
- Number formatting for all data labels: category (number, percentage, currency), units (K, M, B), decimals, and independent control per Measure.
- Change axis options: grouping and ungrouping axes, renaming, changing axis position, setting minimum and maximum values, and number formatting.
- Change chart colors: set custom colors for bars, lines, areas, bubbles, maps, and other chart elements; slice with color; set legend colors; enable conditional formatting in tables.
- Results that are tables: rename columns, and choose wrap or clip for long text.
- Reorder labels on the axis or legend.
- Set the y-axis range.
- Hide and show values using the legend.
- Show data labels and show data markers on line charts.
- Change the date bucketing on a chart or table, from weekly to month of quarter, for example.
- Add regression lines.
- Display gridlines.
- Turn off automatic chart type selection, so a specific chart type persists throughout a search.
- Zoom into a chart by selecting an area with your mouse.
