Click directly on a chart’s axis to open a menu for changing its aggregate, filters, sort, position, grouping, name, and more.In Invoca, you can start changing any axis option by clicking on the axis directly in the chart. This opens a detailed axis customization menu, where you can change the aggregate, filters, conditional formatting, sort, grouping, position, name, or remove the axis entirely.
Change the axis aggregate
Click Aggregate in the axis menu and select an alternative. Depending on the data type and other settings, options include Total, Avg, Min, Max, Total Count, Unique Count, Std Deviation, and Variance.Add, change, and remove filters
- Click Filters in the axis menu.
- Click + add a condition.
- Select a comparison option: is greater than, is greater than or equal to, is less than, is less than or equal to, is between, is in, or is not in.
- Set the relevant numerical limits. is between requires a minimum and maximum; is in and is not in require a list of values separated by
;. - Click + add another for another condition, or the delete icon (x) to remove one.
- Click Done.
Apply conditional formatting
- Click Conditional formatting in the axis menu, then + add formatting.
- Set a lower limit (left text box) and/or upper limit (right text box) to define the range the condition applies to.
- Select a color for the condition. This draws upper and lower limit lines on the chart and colors matching elements, or you can select Fill chart to place a range band instead.
- Click + add formatting for another condition, or the delete icon (x) to remove one.
- Click Done.
Change the sort
Click Sort in the axis menu and choose Ascending or Descending.Change the position of the axis
It’s generally easier to read a chart when axes using the same units or scale appear on the same side. Click Position in the axis menu and choose Left or Right.Change the grouping
When two axes use the same unit of measurement and a similar scale, you can group them together. Click Group in the axis menu and select one of the Measures on the other axes.Rename the axis
Click Rename in the axis menu, type the new name, and click out or press Enter/Return.Edit the axis
Click the axis, then select Edit for the full configuration view:- Configure: name, position (Right/Left), min, max.
- Format: category (Number, Percentage, Currency), unit (Auto, None, Thousand (K), Million (M), Billion (B), Trillion (T)), and negative values (
-1234,1234-, or(1234)).
