Place a live test call to the draft version of your agent to check its greeting, answers, and routing before real callers reach it.
Note: The AI Voice Agent is part of Invoca’s AI Agents and may need to be enabled on your account. If you don’t see Agent Studio in the left menu, contact your account team.

Before you begin

You need:

Start a preview call

  1. In Agent Studio, open your agent and select Agent Workflows > Voice.
  2. Select Preview Chat at the top right of the workflow.
  3. Check that the panel title shows your agent’s name followed by (Draft).
  4. Select Start Call. Allow microphone access if your browser asks.
  5. Listen for the greeting, then talk to the agent the way a caller would.
Preview calls the draft, so you can test changes you’ve applied before they reach callers. Although the button is called Preview Chat, the test is a spoken call. Make more than one call. Try a different caller type each time, and speak the way your callers do, including short answers, interruptions, and questions the agent may not be able to answer.

What to test

Test at least one path through every segment, plus:
  • Greeting: it plays promptly, says the brand name, and tells the caller they’re speaking with a virtual assistant.
  • Intent matching: callers who describe the same need in different words reach the same intent.
  • Qualify fallbacks: give an unclear answer and check that the agent asks once more, then takes the default path.
  • Frustrated callers: ask for a person and check that the agent stops asking questions and transfers.
  • Brand Conversation Rules: try something each rule should handle, such as asking for a price or about a competitor.
  • Data collection: the agent asks for each field in What To Collect and doesn’t ask again for anything you’ve already said.
  • Knowledge: answers are accurate, short, and match your Knowledge Sources.

Fix, test again, and go live

  1. Change one thing at a time, select Apply, and start a new preview call, so you can tell which change fixed the problem.
  2. When every path behaves as expected, select Go Live to push the draft to production.
  3. After going live, call a number from a campaign listed under Triggered by to confirm that transfers reach the right teams.
