Troubleshooting steps for promo numbers that aren’t receiving calls, or where callers reach the wrong business.Before a promo number is issued to a campaign, it goes through an extensive cleansing and incubation process.
If no calls are being received on a promo number
Check the following:- Does a test call connect as expected?
- Does a test call appear in Reports?
- Was the promo number published correctly?
If callers are connecting but asking for a different business
Check the following:- Are consumers mis-dialing the same seven digits published with a different toll-free prefix (for example, 888, 877, 866, 855, or 800)?
- Was the promo number picked up by an auto-dialer? Auto-dialers occasionally call lists of phone numbers.
