Short calls, poor audio quality, and inconsistent enrollment cadence are the most common causes of repeated agent misidentification.
Symptoms: One or more agents are consistently identified incorrectly by Agent Voice ID. Cause: Calls should be longer than 10 seconds for reliable matching. An agent may also have a poor-quality voiceprint — for example, if their enrollment cadence doesn’t match how they normally answer calls. In rare cases, two agents’ voices are too similar for the biometric model to reliably distinguish. Resolution:
  1. Audit a few recordings in the Invoca UI to confirm clear audio with no background noise, and that the calls are longer than 10 seconds. Have Call Record ID examples ready before continuing.
  2. View logs in the Agent Voice ID portal: click Logs, search by Call Record ID or date, and expand the details. Confirm the confidence level is above 1.1.
  3. Have the affected agents re-enroll, using the same cadence they use when actually answering calls.
  4. If misidentification continues, some agents’ voices may be too similar for the biometric model to reliably distinguish between them.
