Create a static promo number and add it to a campaign when dynamic number insertion isn’t an option.
Promo numbers are phone numbers managed by your Invoca account that capture marketing data from your calls. In most cases, you’ll want to use the Invoca Tag together with RingPools (groups of promo numbers that Invoca assigns dynamically) to serve promo numbers to your campaigns automatically. This approach also uses RingPool autoscaling, which automatically manages how many promo numbers your account uses.
However, you can also add a static promo number to a campaign. A static number isn’t dynamically served to visitors on your landing pages, so it can’t deliver personalized marketing data the way a dynamic number can, but it can still track calls and signals. This makes static promo numbers useful when you can’t deploy the full Invoca Tag, such as with Google Call Extensions, offline ads, or landing pages hosted by partners who don’t allow custom code.
Prerequisites
- An active Invoca campaign, or the ability to create one
- Permission to add promo numbers to that campaign
- Log in to your Invoca account. In the sidebar menu, click Campaigns, then select Manage Campaigns.
- Choose the campaign you want to add a promo number to, or create a new campaign. Then click the Direct Promo Numbers tab.
- Click + New Promo Number, and use the Number Type options to choose a toll-free or local number. For a local number, use the Target Area tool to find a number local to the location you want.
- Optionally, add a description of how the promo number will be used, including its media type. This description appears in your Invoca reports later. Click Save when finished.
Once saved, your new promo number appears in the campaign’s list of promo numbers and is ready to start tracking calls.Last modified on September 30, 2026
