Invoca learns from your searches over time, offering complete recent searches similar to the one you’re constructing.
Search suggestions include complete recent searches that are similar to the search you’re constructing, learned from how you and your organization use Invoca.
Usage-based ranking (UBR)
Search suggestions are relevant to the data and personalized to your search behavior. Invoca learns over time which columns matter most to you and to your company, then uses that knowledge to rank the search terms it offers — this is called usage-based ranking (UBR).
Invoca keeps usage statistics on the frequency of search terms in its local cache. If you frequently search terms related to finance or a particular product, Invoca surfaces related suggestions more often. UBR makes Invoca more valuable over time, and suggestions become more helpful the more searches you complete.
Recent searches
As you type in the search bar, suggestions include recent searches — both your own and, in a separate section, those made by other people — making it easier to learn what you can do with Invoca. Recent searches appear higher in suggestions than other terms.
Auto-disambiguation in search
When a search term has more than one possible meaning, you can disambiguate by selecting from a list of choices. Your choice is sticky, so you won’t have to select it again within the scope of the current search.
Out of scope columns
Search suggestions aren’t limited to the columns you selected as data sources — they can include out-of-scope columns too. Selecting one of these suggestions adds that column to your data sources scope automatically.
Object searches
Search suggestions also include relevant Dashboards that already exist. If a Dashboard similar to the search you’re trying to do already exists, it appears in your suggestions.
