How to use Web Integration Code (WIC) to drive trackable, attributed traffic from your landing page to an Advertiser’s performance marketing campaign.
Who this is for
This article is for Publishers — organizations that host affiliate marketing ads on their own landing pages. If you’re an Advertiser driving phone calls on behalf of other organizations instead, this article doesn’t apply to you.
What is WIC?
For performance marketing campaigns, Advertisers can incorporate a landing page using Web Integration Code (WIC). WIC lets an Advertiser track Publisher-driven traffic to a landing page for payout and reporting purposes. As a Publisher, you join the campaign using a URL link that’s unique to your Publisher ID.
Prerequisites
You must already be approved as a Publisher on the Advertiser’s campaign before you can complete a WIC integration.
Check whether your campaign uses WIC
- Log in to Invoca. In the sidebar menu, click Campaigns, then select View Campaigns.
- In your list of campaigns, check the Web Integrated column. A green checkmark means that campaign is set up to use WIC. If you don’t see this column, click Edit Columns, select the checkbox for Web Integrated, then click Done.
You can also use this method to check which campaigns use WIC before deciding which ones to apply to.
- Log in to your Invoca account. In the sidebar menu, click Campaigns, then select View Campaigns.
- Select the campaign you want to set up your WIC integration for.
- Click the Promo Numbers tab, then click + New Promo Number. Choose Local or Toll-Free, select the media type this number will appear in from the drop-down menu, and click Save.
- Find your new promo number in the Manage Promo Numbers menu, click the menu button in its Actions column, and select Get Link.
Get your HTML code and customize your link
Selecting Get Link opens a Get HTML panel where you can copy your promotion link code and adjust its settings before adding it to your landing page:
- Link opens in a new window — if a visitor clicks your link, it opens in a new browser tab so they can keep browsing your landing page.
- Mobile click-to-call — if a visitor clicks your link from a mobile phone, it immediately calls the promo number using their phone’s dialer.
- Additional Parameters — add marketing URL parameters to the end of your WIC link for tracking purposes. Google publishes a guide to URL parameters if you want more detail on how these work.
Once you’re happy with your settings, copy the HTML code and add it to your landing page. From there, traffic that clicks through your link is tracked back to your Publisher ID for payout and reporting. Last modified on September 30, 2026
