The Invoca Tag only swaps numbers in an anchor’s href and visible text — it doesn’t check custom attributes like aria-label or title.
Symptoms
A phone number in thearia-label or title attribute stays the same instead of being replaced with an Invoca number:
Cause
The Invoca Tag only targets thehref attribute of an <a> tag and its inner text content (the visible phone number) to perform number swapping. It doesn’t check other custom attributes, such as aria-label or title, since these aren’t consistently used to display phone numbers.
Resolution
Swapping the number in a custom attribute likearia-label or title requires a custom code update. Contact your account team or support@invoca.com to engage Invoca Technical Services for help with this.
