Tag Signals as Lead or Conversion to group and filter your Signal library without changing the underlying logic of any Signal.
Tagging Signals is a way to boost efficiency in Invoca, helping you quickly locate and manage the data that’s most essential to your goals. It acts as an organizational layer for your Signal library, making it simpler to group and identify related Signals. Once tagged, you can sort your view to focus on specific categories — like “Leads” or “Conversions” — without changing the underlying logic of the Signals themselves.

Use cases

Tagging offers a quick way to categorize your Signals, giving your team a unified focus on your most critical business outcomes. Invoca offers two standard tags: Lead and Conversion — two stages key to a healthy revenue funnel, since driving growth means balancing the quantity of interested prospects entering your pipeline with the quality of closed revenue at the bottom. Use these guidelines to categorize your Signals:
  • Tagging Leads: apply this to Signals that indicate customer interest or intent (for example, “General Inquiry” or “Quote Request”). This helps you measure the volume of opportunities your campaigns are generating.
  • Tagging Conversions: apply this to Signals that represent a successful business outcome (for example, “Appointment Set” or “Purchase Complete”). This lets you isolate and track the value of your interactions.
Additional tagging options may be added in the future.

Tagging a Signal

You can tag a Signal when creating a new one, or by editing an existing Signal.
  1. In the sidebar menu, click Signal, then select Manage Signals.
  2. Locate the Signal you want to label and click the Edit (pencil icon) button.
  3. Scroll to the Tag This Signal dropdown menu.
  4. Select Lead or Conversion from the dropdown menu.
  5. Click Save. Your Signal is now tagged.

Untagging or changing a tag

  1. Navigate to Signal, then select Manage Signals.
  2. Click Edit next to the Signal you want to update.
  3. In the Tag This Signal dropdown menu, select the new tag to apply, or select None to remove the tag entirely.
  4. Click Save to apply your changes.

FAQs

I noticed that Signals were already tagged in my account. How did this happen? To support this feature’s rollout, Invoca identified the Signals used as leads and conversions in your Lead Conversion Dashboard(s) and auto-tagged them accordingly. For example, if a dashboard lists “Appointment Scheduled” as a Lead Signal, that Signal was automatically tagged Lead. Does untagging a Signal delete the Signal or data associated with it? No. Setting a tag to “None” only removes the tag — it doesn’t delete the Signal or any of its associated data. The Signal’s logic and history remain intact. Can I apply both “Lead” and “Conversion” to the same Signal? No. A Signal can’t be tagged as both — these are distinct categories: Lead Signals act as volume drivers, while Conversion Signals act as quality drivers.
