# How to View or Edit a Publisher ID

> Find a Publisher's unique Publisher ID in your Invoca account, and change it if your integrated systems use a different identifier.

## Overview

Every Invoca Publisher is assigned a unique ID number, called the Publisher ID. Invoca uses this number to identify the Publisher account to other systems in your integrations, such as when using Invoca's Network Integration API (NIAPI) to connect Invoca to an external platform.

## Prerequisites

You'll need an Invoca account with access to the Publishers section of the platform.

## Viewing a Publisher ID

1. Log in to your Invoca account.
2. In the sidebar menu, click **Publishers**, then select **Manage Publishers**.
3. Find the Publisher you're looking for in the list. Each Publisher's Publisher ID appears in the **Publisher ID** column.

If the Publisher ID column isn't visible in your view, click **Edit Columns** and add it to the displayed columns.

## Editing a Publisher ID

1. From the **Manage Publishers** list, click the pencil (edit) icon next to the Publisher you want to update.
2. Change the value in the **Publisher ID** column to the new number you want to use.
3. Save your changes.

## Why you might change it

The label shown in the platform for the Publisher ID is customizable, and the value itself should match whatever identifier your external, integrated system uses for that same Publisher. If you're connecting Invoca to a system that already has its own numbering scheme for publishers, changing the Publisher ID to match keeps the two systems in sync and avoids manual mapping between different ID values every time you reference that Publisher through an integration or the NIAPI.

Because this ID is used to identify the Publisher to other connected systems, double-check any active integrations after changing it to confirm they're still referencing the correct value.
