# Understanding and Managing Your Publisher's Status

> Publisher status determines whether they can join and host your Invoca campaigns — here's what each status means.

If you use Invoca for performance marketing, you'll likely find yourself managing Publisher accounts on your campaigns. You can view — and, as a Network account administrator, change — a Publisher's status in the Manage Publishers panel.

## Publisher statuses

| Status    | Meaning                                                                                                                                                                                                            |
| :-------- | :----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Applied   | Has applied to join your network but has no platform access yet, pending your decision                                                                                                                             |
| Approved  | Open for business; can apply to visible campaigns and promote ones they've joined                                                                                                                                  |
| Declined  | Applied but was never approved; cannot view, join, or promote campaigns                                                                                                                                            |
| Suspended | Previously approved, but the network has chosen to stop doing business with this account; calls to their promo numbers aren't routed and no commissions are earned, though the account can be restored to Approved |
| Archived  | Permanently removed after being suspended; won't appear in Publisher lists or menus, and calls to their promo numbers return a "Number not in Service" message, though historical call data remains accessible     |

Changing a Publisher's status sends a notification email to that Publisher's users.
