# Transcripts: Foreign Language Support Guide

> Set a language preference at the network, profile, or campaign level to fine-tune transcript accuracy for Spanish- and French-language calls.

Invoca's transcription is enhanced for multi-language conversations — you can fine-tune settings for more accurate non-English transcripts.

**This capability is exclusive to Silver and Gold plans.** Set a language preference at the campaign level for English, Spanish, or French.

## Configuration levels

Language settings are flexible, and apply at three levels via **Settings** (gear icon) > **Transcription Preferences**:

* **Network level:** the default for all campaigns.
* **Advertiser/Profile level:** overrides the network setting; "Inherit from network" follows the network's setting.
* **Campaign level:** the highest level of control; "Same as Profile" inherits the profile's setting.

**Best practice:** override individual campaigns manually rather than relying on inheritance, if they need a different language than the rest of your account.

**Configuration examples:**

* One Spanish-language campaign among an otherwise English-default account — override just that campaign.
* All campaigns under a single profile in Spanish — set the profile-level language to Spanish.

## Language options

Conversation campaigns support English (default), French, and Spanish. Dialects are covered automatically — there are no separate dialect options.

## FAQs

**I labeled a campaign as Spanish but I'm receiving English calls — what happens?** The call is processed as Spanish, which may produce mixed transcripts. Accurate labeling matters.

**Are there separate English (GB) vs. English (US) options?** No — dialects are captured automatically within the language.

**Are Signals compatible with foreign-language transcripts?** Only rule-based, keypress, and keyword-spotting Signals.

**Is redaction supported for foreign languages?** Redaction currently supports English, French, and Spanish — see [Transcription Redaction Overview](/s/article/jhdcp92865-8699).

**Why do I sometimes see transcript errors?** Transcript errors can result from factors like background noise.
