# Signal Management: Manual Result Overrides

> Manually reassign a Signal's value on a specific call to correct scorecards and reports when the automated result missed the whole story.

Signals give feedback on calls but sometimes miss the whole story — Voice or Signal AI may mishear a word or phrase, or a call might not apply to the scoring criteria set up. You can manually reassign Signal values to correct scorecards and reports, and potentially trigger webhooks.

Editing a Signal field itself (not just its value on one call) is possible in some cases, but risky — it can majorly disrupt historical reporting. See [Signals Overview](/s/article/signals-overview) to learn more before doing this.

## Overriding a Signal result on a call

First, follow the guide on reviewing calls (recordings and transcripts) to access the call. In the Analysis panel, you'll see the Signal list with values and icons:

| Icon                    | Meaning                          |
| :---------------------- | :------------------------------- |
| Green circle with check | Automatically marked True        |
| Green thumbs-up         | Manually marked True             |
| Red circle with X       | Automatically marked False       |
| Red thumbs-down         | Manually marked False            |
| Gray circle with dash   | Automatically marked Not Applied |
| Gray dash               | Manually marked Not Applied      |

To change a value:

1. Select the pencil icon.
2. Choose True, False, or Not Applied for each Signal.
3. Click **Save**.

New values reflect in the call's Analysis panel, Invoca reports, and sales agents' scorecards.

## What happens after you override a result

If the corrected Signal was an AI Signal, your correction becomes training data that improves future predictions — see the guide on improving Signal AI accuracy. A webhook set to fire on an edited Signal only fires if you changed the value to True.
