# Signal AI Studio: Profiles

> Train and fire AI Signals on a specific subset of calls within your network, instead of your entire call volume.

Profiles support is an enhancement to Signal AI Studio that lets you train and fire AI Signals on a specific subset of calls within your network. This targets and segments a specified group of calls to help capture insightful data about specific lines of business.

## Benefits of Profiles support

| Benefit | Description |
| :----------------------------- | :---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Train AI on specific call sets | Supports training AI Signals for unique lines of business or locations (a subset of calls). |
| Improved Signal accuracy | Training on a more targeted subset of calls improves AI Signal accuracy for specialized use cases. |
| Reduces training time | Speeds up creation of targeted AI Signals by eliminating the need to review calls where the signal is unlikely to fire. |

**Before you begin:** the Profiles setting must be enabled in your Invoca account to access this feature. Reach out to your Invoca account representative or [success@invoca.com](mailto:success@invoca.com) for assistance.

## Initial setup for Studio Profiles

Some networks may refer to Profiles as Advertisers, depending on the type of network (for example, Brand or Performance networks).

1. Select **New AI Model** in the upper right corner.
2. Choose the **Calls from Select Profiles** option by clicking the **Select** button underneath. (All Calls is the default setting and trains on your entire data set.)
3. On the New AI Model window, choose the specific Profile data set you'd like to train your Signals on, from the list of available options. You can select one or multiple Profiles.
   * This is a pre-defined subset of Profiles you've previously grouped together. See the guide on creating a new Advertiser or Profile for more.
   * We recommend giving your Profile Set a clear name so it's easy to find and reuse later, using the Profile Set Name field — for example, "Colorado Locations."
   * If there aren't enough calls in the selected Profile group(s), a pop-up message appears in the UI.
4. Select **Save Profile Selection**.
5. As with the default (All Calls) workflow, you can now start creating your Labels. Once finished, click **Create AI Model** in the Create Your Labels window that opens. If your current focus is on creating Profiles, you can create your AI Model and Labels later.

## Collect your calls before training your AI Signals

When using the All Calls (default) setting, the AI model contains 5,000 of your calls, readily available to train your Signals on. When using Profiles Support, Invoca instead collects 5,000 calls based on the specific Profiles you selected, to build an AI model to train with.

If you've already saved a Profile Set you'd like to reuse, you won't need to wait for the 5,000 calls to collect again — simply select the saved set from the dropdown menu.

1. After creating your AI Model, you'll arrive on the Signal AI Studio landing page, where a message that calls need to collect before training appears. Close it. The Collecting Calls icon shows while collection is in progress.
   * See [Signal AI Studio: Notifications](/s/article/signal-ai-studio-notifications) to receive an email when the calls collection process completes.
   * After the allotted number of calls are collected, the information appears in the Signal AI Studio window.
2. Click into the information or label you'd like to review, to view the Profiles you chose earlier, along with the targeted results and metrics collected during call collection for your Labels.
   * Select **View all (#) profiles** to see the original list of Profiles you selected. Select **Close** to exit.
3. Select **Label Calls** to begin training your Signals.

## Profile scoping to campaigns

You can view your Advertisers and their linked Campaigns directly in your Profile. Reach out to your CSM or [success@invoca.com](mailto:success@invoca.com) to have this feature enabled in your Profiles.

**Via Signals:**

1. Log in to your Invoca account and select **Signal** in the left menu bar.
2. Click **Manage Your Signals**.
3. Locate the Signal you want to view the Campaigns for and click to open it.
4. Scroll down and click **Select Profiles & Campaigns**. The Profiles and their linked Campaigns appear.

**Via Signals in Signal AI Studio:**

1. Log in to your Invoca account and select **Signal** in the left menu bar.
2. Click **Signal AI Studio** to see the list of Signals.
3. Click the down arrow to expand the Signal you'd like to review. The Signal displays the model, and the model contains the Advertiser and/or Campaign.
