# How many times will the Salesforce webhook fail before the webhook stops trying?

> The retry behavior of the Salesforce Post-Call webhook integration when a transaction fails to deliver.

## Applies to

Salesforce integration version 5.5 and later, Post-Call webhook transactions.

## Retry behavior

When a Salesforce Post-Call webhook transaction fails to deliver, Invoca retries the transaction up to three total times, with one-minute intervals between each attempt.

If the transaction still fails after the third attempt — about two minutes after the first attempt — the webhook stops retrying that specific transaction and moves on to the next one in the queue.

Pre-Transfer webhooks work differently: they fire once, with no retry.

## What this means for you

Because failed transactions aren't retried indefinitely, it's worth monitoring your Salesforce webhook logs for repeated failures. If you notice a transaction failing consistently after all three attempts, check your Salesforce configuration for issues such as authentication errors or field mapping problems, and contact Invoca Support if you need help investigating further.
