# Can the Current RingPool Be Updated from Toll-Free to Local?

> A Toll-Free RingPool can't be converted to Local — create a new Local RingPool instead.

A Toll-Free RingPool can't be changed to Local. Create a new RingPool with a Local number type instead.

If you want a Local RingPool to also serve toll-free numbers, click **Local Preferences** in the RingPool and select **Give me toll-free numbers instead**.
