# Repeat Caller Payout Conditions & Corrections

**This feature is available on the Invoca for Performance Marketing package.**

> How Invoca determines whether a repeat call is eligible for payout, and why manually correcting a call doesn't retroactively change that determination on later calls.

## Applies to

Campaigns using payout conditions based on repeat callers, including the "No payout if caller calls back within X days" setting, call corrections, and call reporting.

## How repeat caller payouts work

Invoca only counts a call as a "repeat call" if the caller's earlier call was paid out. For example, if a caller's first call isn't paid out, and the same caller calls again two days later, that second call is not flagged as a repeat — it may still be eligible to hit payout conditions on its own.

## Why corrections don't retroactively apply

If you manually correct an earlier call in the future to mark it as paid, that correction does not retroactively change the repeat-caller flag on any calls that happened after it. Payout status is evaluated at the time each call happens, so correcting an older call later doesn't cause Invoca to re-evaluate calls that already occurred.

This can cause confusion: if you correct an old call to "paid" status without also reviewing payouts on the later calls it affects, those later calls may still show as paid even though, with the correction applied, your payout conditions arguably should have blocked them.

## What you might see

You may notice what look like duplicate call payouts, or calls with a repeat caller ID being paid out even though "No payout if caller calls back within X days" is selected on the campaign.

## How to check whether a call was corrected

Look up the call's transaction ID or call record ID in your call reporting or call detail view to see its current payout status and whether it was manually corrected.

## Resolution

Before disputing or re-processing a payout, check whether a related earlier call was corrected recently. If you correct an earlier call's payout status, manually review payouts on the subsequent calls it affects — Invoca will not automatically re-evaluate them for you.
