# Reorder Labels on the Axis or Legend

> Change the order of labels on a chart's axis or legend by removing and re-adding columns in your preferred sequence.

When a chart has multiple columns on its x-axis, y-axis, or legend, you can reorder them using the **Configure Chart** icon.

Columns appear on the axis or legend in the order they were added — the first field is the primary sorting field for the chart, and adding another field places it after the first. To change the order, remove the fields and re-add them in the sequence you want.

To reorder the y-axis columns:

1. While viewing your Dashboard Tile as a chart, click the **chart configuration** icon near the top right.
2. Under **Y-axis**, drag and drop the column chips into your preferred order. Your chart reorganizes to reflect the new label order.
