# Reddit Ads: Integration Guide

> Understand how Reddit ads drive calls and call conversions, using the Reddit Conversions API, to optimize ad spend and targeting.

## Step 1: Get your Reddit Ads Pixel ID and Access Token

**Pixel ID:** In Reddit Ads Manager, open the menu, select Events Manager, then Events overview — the ID appears in the sub-header labeled "Pixel ID:".

**Access Token:** In Reddit Ads Manager, open the menu, select Events Manager, then Conversions API. Click **Generate Access Token** if one doesn't already exist.

Note both values — you'll need them next.

## Step 2: Set up the integration in Invoca

1. In the sidebar, click **Integrations**, then **Manage Integrations**.
2. Click the **Reddit Ads** tile. If it shows "Learn More" instead, contact your Invoca CSM or account manager to enable it.
3. Enter a friendly name for your Reddit Ads account.

### Create an Action

Choose one of two Action types depending on your privacy and attribution needs:

* **Send Call or Signal Events (with IP Address)** — uses the Reddit Click ID, hashed phone number, IP address, and User Agent as attribution identifiers.
* **Send Call or Signal Events (without IP Address)** — uses only the Reddit Click ID and hashed phone number, for stricter privacy compliance.

1. Enter the Reddit Pixel ID and Access Token from Step 1, then click **Next**. Choosing an Action auto-creates the Reddit Click ID standard data field in your Marketing Data dictionary if it doesn't already exist.
2. Enter a friendly name for the Action (include "Call" or the Signal name to distinguish Actions).
3. Optionally filter by Profile or Campaign.
4. Under **Triggered By**, choose **All Calls** or **Signal**.
5. Enter a **Custom Event Name** — a free-form string up to 64 characters identifying this conversion event in Reddit Ads. We recommend a value that doesn't match Reddit's pre-existing events (for example, "Invoca Call" or "Phone\_Call\_Converted").
6. Enter a **Default Value** as a fallback revenue amount — enter 0 if you don't want one.
7. Enter a **Currency Code** if you want something other than USD.
8. Click **Save**. Repeat for each transaction type you want to report.

## Step 3: Configure your Invoca Tag(s) to capture the Reddit Click ID

1. Click the gear icon, select **Invoca Tags**, and locate the Tag on your website.
2. Open the Revision History tab and create a new draft, or continue an existing one.
3. Find the **Reddit Click ID (rdt\_cid)** parameter in the Marketing Data section — confirm it's enabled with Data Source Type set to **URL Param**.
4. If using the "with IP Address" Action, also enable the **IP Address** and **User Agent** toggles.
5. Test your changes, then click **Save & Go Live**. If you have multiple Invoca Tags, publish the update to each.

## Validate that events are reaching Reddit Ads

1. In Invoca, click **Integrations**, then **Manage Integrations**.
2. Click the **Reddit Ads** tile, then the name of the Action you created.
3. Review the Delivery Details chart, showing successes (green) and errors (red) by day for the last 30 days. Click Delivery History for individual requests and responses.
4. Confirm conversion events are appearing in Reddit Ads Manager's Events Manager.

## FAQs

**What's the difference between the two Actions?** They control what level of user data is sent — "with IP Address" adds IP and User Agent for stronger attribution; "without IP Address" omits both for stricter privacy compliance.

**What fields does Invoca pass by default?** The Reddit Click ID (rdt\_cid), event timestamp, Custom Event Name, Conversion ID (Signal ID or Call Record ID), currency and value (revenue), hashed phone number (SHA256), and — if using the "with IP" Action — IP address and User Agent.

**How can I see the data Invoca sends to Reddit Ads?** Open an Action's Delivery History tab and expand a row to see exactly what was sent for that call or Signal.

**How does Invoca send data to Reddit Ads?** Invoca uses the Reddit Conversions API (CAPI).

**Can I build audiences based on Invoca events?** Yes — see Reddit's custom audience documentation.
