# No Calls Returned When Querying Calls in Progress API

> The API only returns calls that Invoca actually routed to the destination — requests for calls that never bridged will return an empty payload.

**Applies to:** Calls in Progress API

## Symptoms

No calls appear in the `current_calls` brackets.

## Cause

An invalid phone number combination, or the call never bridged successfully to the destination number.

## Resolution

Check whether a valid destination number and calling phone number combination are being used. The API can only return calls that Invoca routes to the end destination — requests for calls not bridged by Invoca will return an empty payload. To resolve this, either add the destination to your Invoca call treatment, or stop making requests for calls that Invoca doesn't bridge.
