# What Factors Should Be Considered When Deciding Whether to Use a New or Existing Tag for a New Domain?

> Five questions to ask before deciding whether a new domain needs its own Invoca Tag or can reuse an existing one.

Consider these questions when deciding whether a new domain needs a new tag:

1. **Will this new site need a new tracking number to replace the existing one?** You want to avoid a situation where visitors expect the same number to connect to two different Invoca campaigns.
2. **Does this new site need different conditions?** For example, if the new site only runs paid search while the original site receives all other traffic, that typically calls for two separate tags.
3. **Is there different data available on this new site?** Make sure any customizations you've already implemented can still be maintained.
4. **Does the new site behave differently in ways that could affect Dynamic Number Insertion (DNI)?** This matters most for Single Page Applications (SPAs). The same tag might still work, but it's worth checking.
5. **Does the new site need Destinations?** If a new campaign requires the discover functionality, that would call for a new tag.
