# Local RingPools

> Create a RingPool of local (U.S. and Canada) phone numbers, letting you capture individualized marketing data from each visitor's call.

A RingPool is a group of phone numbers in your account served uniquely to your customers, letting you capture individualized marketing data from their calls. This article covers creating a RingPool using local (U.S. and Canada) phone numbers.

## Creating a local number RingPool

1. Log in to your Invoca account, click **Campaigns**, then select **Manage Campaigns**. Select the campaign where you want to create your new RingPool.
2. Click the **RingPools** tab, then click **Add New RingPool**.
3. In the Name field, name your RingPool — this appears in your Invoca reports in the Promo Number Description column.
4. In the Number Session Lifetime dropdown, choose how long to reserve a phone number for each unique visitor. A shorter time supports more unique visitors with fewer numbers; a longer time improves accuracy.
5. In the overflow settings section, choose how to handle visitors beyond the size of your RingPool.
6. Under Number Type, select **Local**, then click **Next**.
7. In the Target Area for Local Number field, enter a city, area code, area code and local prefix, or zip code.
8. To limit results by distance, check **Restrict search** and enter a radius in miles, then click **Next**.
9. If your target area spans more than one area code, you'll see a list you can drag and reorder — Invoca fills your RingPool from each area code in the order you set.
   * To exclude an area code entirely, hover over it, click its menu button, and select **Delete a Number**.
   * To see where an area code is located, hover over it, click its menu button, and select **View area code on a map**.
   * A yellow caution icon next to an area code means Invoca doesn't currently have enough numbers there to fill your RingPool. Choose whether to wait for local numbers or use toll-free numbers in the meantime — Invoca always shows local numbers to visitors first when both are available.
10. Click **Next** when finished.
11. If you use Marketing Data, enable "Use Marketing Data for attribution," or enter up to 10 URL parameters or cookies to track with this RingPool instead. Click **Save & Next** — your RingPool API URL also appears here if you use the RingPool API.

Once created, test your Local RingPool's composition before deploying your landing page live — using the RingPool API, your test environment, or by reaching out to your account team or [support@invoca.com](mailto:support@invoca.com).

You can later edit a Local RingPool's size, name, and attribution parameters, but not its location. If you reduce its size and it contains both toll-free and local numbers, numbers are removed at random regardless of type.

## Using RingPools on performance marketing landing pages with WIC

If your RingPool is used on a landing page managed by an Advertiser deploying Web Integration Code (WIC), click the **Get Link** tab to access the tracking link, including mobile click-to-call. Advertisers can also use the RingPool without the link by adding the Campaign ID and RingPool ID parameters to the Web Integration Code, available on the Get Code tab.
