# Intermittent 403s When Trying to Access Transcripts via API

> A 403 error is expected when a transcript isn't associated with a call record — if a transcript does exist, contact Support.

**Applies to:** Transactions API

## Symptoms

A 403 error occurs on only a handful of calls when retrieving transcripts through the Transactions API.

## Cause

When a transcript isn't associated with a call record, a 403 error is returned.

## Resolution

Check the transaction ID associated with the error to see if a transcript is associated with the call:

* If no transcript exists for that call, a 403 is expected behavior.
* If a transcript does exist, contact Invoca Support so the team can investigate further.
