# Google Analytics 4.0 (GA4): Integration Overview

> Report Invoca phone calls and Signals to Google Analytics 4 as events, understand which campaigns are driving calls, and build GA4 audiences from Invoca data.

Invoca is call tracking and analytics software that attributes inbound phone calls to the marketing campaigns that drove them. Google Analytics is a web analytics system for marketers, making it easy to understand how customers engage with marketing campaigns, products, and content on websites and apps.

This is the first article in a series covering everything you need to set up, support, and succeed with the Invoca for Google Analytics 4 (GA4) integration.

## Why choose Invoca for Google Analytics 4?

Using [Google's Measurement Protocol](https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/protocol/ga4), Invoca for GA4 gives you visibility into the inbound call activity driven by your marketing efforts. With this integration, you can:

* Report Invoca phone calls and Signals to Google Analytics as events, for a unified view of campaign performance and website activity.
* Understand which marketing campaigns and pages are driving each type of call or Signal in GA4 reports.
* Use your Invoca data to build Google Analytics audiences, then use those [audiences](https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/9267572) in Google Ads.

## Before you begin

Invoca no longer supports integrations with Google Universal Analytics, which Google deprecated after July 1, 2023. If you haven't already, upgrade your Google Analytics account to GA4 before installing this integration — see [Google's migration guide](https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/10759417).
