# GA4 Event Not Populating

> This usually happens when a custom parameter exists in Invoca but hasn't been created in GA4 — GA4 rejects events that reference parameters it doesn't recognize.

## Symptoms

* Conversion events aren't populating in GA4 reporting.
* Invoca logs show 204 success responses.

**Applies to:** Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

## Cause

A custom parameter was created in the Invoca Action but not in GA4. GA4 rejects any events sent using a parameter it doesn't recognize.

## Resolution

1. Confirm the event names match exactly between Invoca and GA4.
2. If using custom parameters, confirm those same parameters exist as Custom Dimensions or Metrics in GA4.
