# Destinations Created by the Bulk Destinations Management Tool Not Auto-Scaling

> Destinations created through the Bulk Destinations Management Tool default to filling immediately instead of following auto-scaling rules — delete and recreate them to fix it.

## Symptoms

* Dynamic numbers allocated for a Destination stay stagnant and don't auto-scale.
* Manually adjusting the dynamic numbers allocated for a Destination fills it to capacity immediately.

**Applies to:** Accounts that created Destinations through the Bulk Destinations Management Tool and have RingPool auto-scaling rules enabled.

## Cause

The Bulk Destinations Management Tool creates Destinations through the RingPool API. RingPools created via the API have a `fill_immediately` property that, when set to true, fills the RingPool's allocated numbers immediately and ignores auto-scaling rules. Destinations created through the Bulk Destinations Management Tool have this property set to true by default. Destinations created manually through the platform UI don't have this property set, and follow auto-scaling rules as expected.

## Resolution

1. Ignore the affected Destinations.
2. Once ignored, delete them.
3. Recreate them using either **+ New** or **Import** in your Destinations dashboard. The Import feature is useful if you have a large number of Destinations to replace.
