# Creating a Campaign

> Every Invoca account starts with one campaign already created. This guide walks through adding a new one — name and type, call treatment, hours, and regions.

Invoca campaigns are a hub for segmenting your call intelligence efforts — from capturing Marketing Data, to customizing call routing and caller experience with call treatments, to generating reports.

Every Invoca account comes with a campaign already created. If you need to segment calls across more than one distinct call treatment — for example, by language spoken — evaluate whether you need an additional campaign. If you do, follow the steps below.

## Name and type

1. Log in to your Invoca account. If you use Invoca as a Network account, click **Advertisers** in the sidebar menu, then select **Manage Advertisers**, and choose the Advertiser or Profile where you'd like to create the campaign.
2. In the sidebar menu, click **Campaigns**, then select **Add New Campaign**.
3. Enter a name in the Campaign Name field.
4. Select the campaign type. If you're a brand marketer not using affiliate organizations, choose "Profile direct promotion only." Depending on the type you choose, you may also see options for product/service category and campaign language.
5. For most campaigns, leave the Landing Page URL field blank — you'll add tracking parameters after creating the campaign to associate it with one or more landing pages.
6. Optionally add a description in the Campaign Description field, then click **Next**.

## Choosing call treatment options

1. Check **Record call** if you want Invoca to record phone calls. By default, a recorded prompt informs callers the call is being recorded.

   <Note>
     **Note**

     For legal compliance, only deselect the "Play recorded call prompt" checkbox if your phone system provides its own recording notification, or if you plan to customize the recording message with your own text-to-speech or audio.
   </Note>

2. Check **Play whisper message** to play a message to the person answering the call before it connects.

3. In the "At the start of the call" dropdown, choose the call treatment action to route calls in this campaign — options include Forward to a call center, Forward to nearest location, Offer a text message, Hang up, Ask a question, Verify location of caller, Ask a series of questions, and Check a condition. See [Call Treatments & IVR](/s/article/call-treatments-ivr) for how to use each of these.

4. By default, Invoca displays your caller's caller ID to the receiving call center. Click **Change** in the Call Forwarding box to show or hide it.

5. Click **Done** when finished.

## Hours

1. Select **Open 24/7** if your campaign is always active, or **Select Hours** to set hour limits.
2. If you chose Select Hours, use the dropdowns to set your campaign's hours for each day of the week, then click **Done**.

## Regions

1. Choose a target region option — Invoca only applies your campaign rules to calls from these regions.
2. If you choose **Choose Target Regions**, target specific cities, states, time zones, or countries — you can add any number of regions. Click **Done** when finished.

## Review and go live

The Campaign Summary page lets you review and edit everything you've selected. Your campaign isn't live yet, and won't apply your chosen options to any calls, until you click **Go Live**.

Once live, any calls to your campaign's phone number apply the rules you've set in your campaign and call treatment options.
