# How to Limit the Number of Simultaneous Calls to One Promo Number Using Concurrent Call Caps

> Cap the number of calls in progress on a bundled campaign's destination, so overloaded call centers roll over to another campaign.

**This feature is available on Invoca's Enterprise Package.** Contact your account team to learn more or upgrade.

Invoca doesn't generally limit how many calls can be initiated on a single promo number at once. Concurrent Call Caps let you cap that number instead, helping ensure calls are answered and preventing overloaded call centers.

For example, if only five agents are available, set your concurrent call cap to 5. Once 5 calls are in progress, Invoca sends the next call to another available campaign.

**Applies to:** Concurrent Call Caps are only enforced within a bundled campaign, using the "Select transfer destination from bundle" IVR node.

## How Concurrent Call Caps work

* Concurrent Call Caps can only be set at the child (destination) campaign level, not on the bundle itself.
* Only users who can access and edit Budget Caps can access and edit Concurrent Call Caps.
* Concurrent Call Caps are calculated in real time, alongside other campaign availability criteria like region, hours, and budget caps.
* The Destination Campaign Summary page shows each destination campaign's current Concurrent Call Cap value.
* Concurrent Call Caps can also be configured via the Network Integration API (version 2015-05-01 or later) — see the [Invoca Developer Portal](https://developers.invoca.net/en/latest/index.html) for documentation.

## Setting a Concurrent Call Cap

In the Payout step of the campaign wizard, click the Budget and Call Caps Alerts section, then edit and set Concurrent Call Caps for each destination campaign. This can only be set at the child campaign level, not on the bundle itself.

## Things to keep in mind

* If the "repeat caller" checkbox is enabled on your bundle's call treatment, repeat callers are sent to their originally connected destination campaign regardless of the Concurrent Call Cap.
* Make sure your bundled campaign includes a viable overflow campaign — typically set in the "Else" node — to avoid improperly routed calls.
* Avoid pairing notifications with Concurrent Call Caps, since notifications are limited to one per day per campaign.
