# Changing Charts

> Every aspect of an Invoca chart — color, legends, axes, number format, and more — can be adjusted from the chart configuration panel.

To make changes to a chart's configuration, click the gear icon in the top-right corner of the visualization. This opens the **Edit chart** panel, which contains the **Customize** and **Settings** menus. From here, you can drag and drop Measure and attribute chips onto or off of an axis. Click any Measure or attribute chip with a **more** icon (`>`) to customize it further.

You can also edit some elements directly by clicking on them — for example, clicking a chart axis opens its customization options.

## What you can customize

* [Configure columns for the X and Y axes](/s/article/configure-columns-x-y-axes): drag and drop Measures and attributes onto the appropriate axis, or move a column to **Not Visualized** to keep it in the search without showing it in the chart (also used to perform a hidden sort).
* Number formatting for all data labels: category (number, percentage, currency), units (K, M, B), decimals, and independent control per Measure.
