# Changing the Campaign Type of a Syndicated Promotion Campaign

> A Syndicated Promotion campaign with joined Publishers cannot change to another campaign type. Create a new campaign instead.

**A Syndicated Promotion campaign that has Publishers joined to it cannot be changed to another campaign type. Create a new campaign with the type you need.**

## When you cannot change the campaign type

This applies to Advertiser campaigns created with the **Syndicated Promotion** campaign type. If Publishers (also called Affiliates) have joined the campaign, you cannot change its campaign type to another type.

## Create a new campaign with the correct type

To use a different campaign type, create a new campaign with the type you need.
