# Change Result Display Options

> Change how a Dashboard Tile's search results appear, including its visualization type, sort order, date bucketing, and included data.

Your search results, or Dashboard Tiles, have various display options. You can change the visualization used to display results, their sort order, how Invoca groups the data, and what data is included.

## Change the view

Toggle your Dashboard Tile between a table or a chart. When you display data as a chart, Invoca automatically selects the type that works best for your data — to use a different type, click the change visualization icon and select the chart you want. ## Sort your search

Sorting orders your Dashboard Tile, making it easier to read.

* In table (data) view, click a column header to sort by it. Sorting applies in descending order by default; click again to sort ascending.

    **Tip**

    Hold Shift and click another column to add a secondary sort. Continue to add tertiary sorting, and so on.

* In chart view, click the axis label of the chart you want to sort and select **Sort**. Choose ascending or descending order.

### Hidden sort

Sort by a Measure you don't want to include in the chart. For example, if you search `cost store name sort by gross profit margin`, move `gross profit margin` to the **Not visualized** section from the **Edit chart** panel — Invoca sorts the chart by gross profit margin, but the column doesn't appear in the chart. This is known as a hidden sort.

  You can't perform a hidden sort on an attribute or date column.

## Change the date bucketing (grouping)

Change the date *bucketing* on tables and charts for columns with date values — bucketing groups a column in your data. In table view, click the **More** menu icon that appears when hovering over a column name. In chart view, click the dropdown icon that appears near the axis labels.

You can bucket data at many granularities, from **detailed** (to the minute or second) to **yearly**, depending on your data, and by the position of a bucket relative to a larger one — for example, **month of quarter** or **week of month**.

Invoca chooses a default date bucket for you based on your search. For example, if your search includes last month, dates are bucketed daily instead of monthly.

## Exclude and include row values

1. Right-click the visualization or table cell of interest.
2. Select **Exclude "value"** or **Only Include "value"** if available.
