# Does the Invoca Call Ingestion System Download Call Recordings?

> Invoca supports two ways to ingest external call recordings: a public, timed HTTP URL, or direct retrieval from your own storage.

Invoca has two options for external call ingestion:

* **A public HTTP URL link** — for example, an Amazon S3 presigned URL. These are timed links, valid for Invoca to process for a period you configure. After processing, the recordings are stored in S3 alongside standard Invoca call recordings. For added security, you can use URL links that require tokenized access.
* **Direct retrieval from your storage** — Invoca fetches the recordings directly through the Recording Proxy Service, which communicates with S3 directly using S3 credentials rather than a recording link.

For both options, Invoca's Audio Processing system downloads the recordings and stores them in Amazon S3.

**Applies to:** PreSense customers, and any customer interested in Invoca's Call Ingestion System
