# How Does the Attribution Window Affect Which Landing Page Is Captured in Reports?

> A longer attribution window can make a call appear tied to an earlier landing page than expected, since tracking starts from the visitor's first page view.

## Answer

With a longer attribution window, a website visitor may visit a landing page, leave, and later return to place a call from a different calling page — all within that window. In this case, the original landing page they first visited remains the attributed page in your reports, since attribution tracking begins at that first page visit. This can look like a discrepancy at first glance, but it reflects the attribution window doing what it's designed to do: crediting the full visitor journey rather than only the most recent page.
