# Alaska/Hawaii Calls Are Dropping

> A disabled backend flag typically causes all Alaska/Hawaii calls to drop after an automated message — ask your account team to confirm it's enabled.

## Symptoms

* Alaska/Hawaii calls drop after the caller hears an automated message.
* This affects all Alaska/Hawaii calls, not just one specific number.
* Calls made directly to the Alaska/Hawaii destination number connect with no issue.

**Applies to:** Alaska/Hawaii call routing, Alaska area code (907), Hawaii area code (808)

## Cause

A backend feature that allows calls to connect to the Alaska/Hawaii destination number is disabled on the account.
