# Add a Filter to a Chart

> Add a simple filter from a chart's axis while viewing a Dashboard Tile as a chart.

You can filter a chart in two ways: clicking legend labels to toggle values on or off, or filtering on axis values directly.

To add a filter from the chart axes:

1. While viewing your Dashboard Tile as a chart, click the chart axis you want to filter on, and select **Filter**.
2. Select the values you want to include in your Dashboard Tile.
3. To exclude values instead, click **Exclude** and choose the values to exclude.
4. Click **Done**.

If there are too many values, use the filter search bar to find the ones you want.
